Peggy is all of these. Most importantly, she is our good friend.
As you know, in April of 2008, our friend was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Due to the size and the location of the tumor, her physicians told Peg it was inoperable. Always the fighter, Peg has aggressively attacked the disease. She presently undergoes chemotherapy. She has weekly acupuncture treatments. She attends classes in Tong Ren, an alternative therapy. She takes Tarceva and enzymes daily. She is currently being treated by the coordinated effort of skilled oncologists at both the Mass General Hospital and the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. The ultimate hope is that the tumor is reduced in size, and Peg becomes a candidate for surgery.
Peg has joined each one of us in our own personal battles. Now is the time for us to give back. Please come share the positive energy Peg surely will bring to this event! Please come to let Peg know we love her, and that she is not alone.
